This map shows the Serangoon MRT Station (NE12) which is part of the North-East Line (NEL). It is located along Upper Serangoon Road at the junction with Serangoon Central.
The station is built underground and will be linked to the future Serangoon station of the Circle Line (CCL). The area around this station comprises mainly HDB public housing flats with pockets of private housing further out on the fringes of Serangoon Central estate. Planned future developments include a shopping mall/complex atop the land of the two stations of the NEL and CCL.
The North-East Line (NEL) is a driver-less rail system managed by SBS Transit Ltd.
