The HDB flats are found along Old Airport Road, at Dakota Crescent, Jalan Satu, Jalan Dua, Jalan Tiga, Jalan Empat, Jalan Lima and Jalan Enam - these 'jalans' are named after the Malay words for the numerals one(1) to six(6). Broadrick Secondary School moved to its present location here at Dakota Crescent / Old Airport Road in Jan 2006.
The region south of the river (Geylang River) comprises mainly private landed residential houses - terrace, semi-detached and bungalows. Eton House International School and Pre-school has a branch at 51 Broadrick Road, Singapore 43950, near the bend of the Geylang River. Chung Cheng High School (Main) is located within the estate at 40-56 Goodman Road, Singapore 439012. Other roads in the area are Crescent Road, Swanage Road, Wareham Rd, Poole Road, Arthur Road, Avon Rd, Winborne Road, Lyndhurst Road and Branksome Road.
A well-known landmark here is the Old Airport Road Food Centre and Emporium (a hawker centre cum dry market), situated near the junction of Jalan Tiga and Old Airport Road. The future Circle Line MRT (subway) will have two subterranean stations in this vicinity.
